The only constant is change…..

One of my favourite quotes of all time.  Life is about change!  And in order for us to survive and thrive in our personal and professional lives, we must continue to adapt for evolution to occur.

Last week, the staff at Career Life Transitions piloted the ‘Change your mind….create new results’ workshop, conducted by our senior consultant Steph Smith, who has recently returned from the USA where she gained her accreditation in delivering this program designed by Dr Joe Dispenza.  At the end of the 1 day workshop, we all felt engaged, open to change and inspired to alter our perspective to create better outcomes and a new future.

As Dr Joe states, “We are only one thought away from change”. The workshop focused on simple, straightforward and effective ways to change your mindset.  Dr Joe has undertaken an enormous amount of research on the brain, how it functions and how we can best redirect our thoughts.

We have 60 to 70 thousand thoughts a day!

We were challenged to questions on where those thoughts focused, and how they are affecting our personality & state of being.

Using a highly interactive and innovative process of presentation, self-reflection and discussion, Steph had the whole group thinking about how they think, why they think what they do and how the brain can be easily ‘re-programmed’ to direct those thoughts more productively and creatively. The rate of change in the world is increasing at an expediential speed and the biggest challenge is for the average human to stay ahead, or at a minimum keep up.  This means being accepting of change and open to continual learning.

Thinking equally to everything you know in your life will only reaffirm everything you already know in your life.

The platform for your future, your career proofing and your prospects is now, and will ever more, be based on your ability to change and learn new skills.  Over the last 10 years, an enormous amount of research has been conducted on the brain and how it works. This research has exploded many myths and misconceptions, for example, we no longer talk about the left or right side of the brain, it’s a Freudian idea that no longer has much currency in contemporary psychology. We do know, now, that the brain does have the ability to be developed at any stage of your life.  People who recover from major brain damage such as strokes, is a testament to this, however it does take focus, training and effort.

This is not about positive thinking.

This is about changing how you think so that you can see other choices,

act in new and different ways,

create a new experience,

and feel a new emotion.

Are you evolving and creating the greatest expression of yourself that you’d like to be?

Wisdom is a memory without the emotional charge.

The Neuro Change Solutions program can be conducted as a workshop followed by group and/or 1:1 sessions.  If you’d like more information on your transformation, please contact us at Career Life Transitions.
